This image shows the total number of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, along with the number navigating in each direction.

As you can see, since the beginning of the war, the number of vessels moving through this critical waterway has cratered.

With each of these ships carrying not just oil, but other important inputs, it’s clear why the war has caused such disruption.
